What Does ‘DNG PEG’ Mean in My PC Case?

Hey everyone! I'm putting together my PC in an Antec Flux mid tower case and I have a question about some connections. I've got most of it figured out, but there's a SATA cable connecting to a hub with plugs labeled "Fan1-5" for the fans, and it also has connections for LEDs. I know I need to plug the SATA cable into the power supply to power the fans, but there's something I'm confused about. There's a 4-pin connector labeled "DNG PEG" (it's at the top of the case and hard to see), which has two sets of cables leading off it. One cable ends in a normal 4-pin connection, while the other looks like an odd connector with three holes arranged in a pattern. What are these two cables for, and do I need to connect them, and if so, where do they go? Thanks a ton!

Definitely the SATA cable goes into your power supply. For the two cables from the "DNG PEG," one is likely for the power supplied to a GPU if you are using one. The other could be for RGB lighting, so it really depends on your setup. Make sure to check your PSU to see if there is an available slot for them!

Thanks for the insight! My PSU only has traditional pin holes, nothing like the SATA. I'm working on figuring out where to connect everything.

Yeah, if it's RGB, you might need a controller or specific header on your motherboard for those cables.

Just to clarify, the SATA cable you mentioned should connect to your PSU, not the motherboard. That hub you're talking about powers your fans and LEDs. As for the "DNG PEG" connector, that sounds like it might be an aRGB connection, which is used for addressable RGB lights. If you can, it would be great if you could upload a picture for better identification!

Thanks for the quick response! I'm actually working on uploading a picture to imgur now. I appreciate the help!

You might be right! That connector does sound like an aRGB one. It's usually found on motherboards or controllers for RGB functionality.
