I'm about to upgrade my GPU from a 2070 Super, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about what model to pick. I've been considering the Asus Prime 5080, but I'm unsure how much brand matters. Is the Asus Prime 5080 a solid choice, or would you recommend another brand?

Honestly, there's only about a 1% difference in performance between most brands, so I’d suggest just going for the one that's the cheapest. The Asus Prime version should perform well, but I’ve heard that the Shadow variant is around $100 cheaper, though it's known to be a bit noisy and not the best quality.

I recommend going for the Prime 5080! It’s got great features like vapor chamber cooling and PTM 7950 phase change thermal management. It really offers the best value for an entry-level 5080. I’ve been leaning towards it myself, but I’ve heard some mixed reviews about PNY’s models, especially regarding their fans.
