I'm planning to buy a 1440p 480Hz monitor, but my current GPU, a 1660 Ti, only gets around 160fps at that resolution. I mainly play Fortnite in performance mode and CS2. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5700X, and I have a 550W power supply. What kind of GPU should I be looking at to hit that 500fps mark? Any thoughts on if I need to upgrade my CPU or power supply too?

Bro, go for a 5080 or even a 4070 Ti if the pricing is right. Paired with your CPU, you should get decent performance in CS2. Just remember that you'll probably need a stronger power supply than 550W to support those upgrades.
Honestly, anything above 160fps is hard to notice, especially in fast-paced games. You might be overestimating your needs! But if you really want to push for that 500fps, look at something beefier like a 5080 or 4080. Still, upgrading your CPU might be essential, especially for games that are CPU intensive.
Exactly! At a certain point, you're just aiming for numbers that don't make a huge difference in gameplay.
If you’re hitting around 150fps now, upgrading to a 9070 XT or a 5070 Ti could potentially get you closer to that 500fps target. Just be aware that your CPU might bottleneck performance, so consider upgrading that too if you're serious about hitting those numbers.
Yeah, I noticed the same. It seems like a CPU upgrade is a must if you want every bit of performance, especially for competitive games.
Good point! You definitely don't want to run into power issues after making those upgrades.
