What GPU Should I Choose for My Setup?

Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a GPU for my gaming setup, and I could really use your help. Here are my specs:

- CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Motherboard: Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite WiFi 7
- Power Supply: Corsair RM850x ATX 3.1 (considering upgrading to 1000W if I go with a 5080 GPU)
- Monitor: 1440P Gigabyte M27Q Pro at 170Hz

Unfortunately, my country doesn't have the best pricing and availability for GPUs, but these are the options I have:
1. Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB DDR7 OC edition - $1520
2. Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti Gaming OC 16GB - $1400
3. Gigabyte AORUS GeForce 5070 Ti - $1550
4. Palit GeForce RTX 5080 Gaming Pro V1 16GB - $1650
5. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 OC 16GB - $2066

There are also SFF versions of each for about $50-100 less.

I've heard the 5080 is about 15% better than the 5070 Ti, but I'm not sure if that extra $500 is worth it. Is the Palit 5080 a good option at that price? If not, which 5070 Ti would you recommend? Thanks a lot!

Go for the best GPU you can afford! I made the jump to a higher tier, and while everyone said it would double my performance, it didn't quite hit those marks. However, aiming high means longer life for your rig. Other users swear by solid frames too, which can be a game-changer.

Get the cheapest 5070 Ti variant; they only differ by 1-2% in performance. Seriously, the 5080 isn’t worth the extra cash for most gamers out there. And hey, why did you choose the X870E board? You could get similar performance with a more budget-friendly option.

Thanks for your advice! I was looking to future-proof my setup with the X870E. It's only $30 more than some other options, so it seemed worth it to me.

Totally understand that! If you're planning on future upgrades, the X870E makes sense at that price.

Consider the RX 9070 XT as an alternative! It performs better in some games at a lower price compared to the 5070 Ti. I found a comparison video worth checking out for more info: [Link](https://youtu.be/aWfMibZ8t00).

I don't quite get those prices either. In a fair market, the 5070 Ti should be around $800-900 max. You're dealing with some serious import taxes there, huh?

Yeah, taxes are outrageous here! I end up paying about 30% extra on top of Amazon prices.

Honestly, it really comes down to personal preference. The 5080 does offer better performance, but with the prices you're looking at, I'd say you're better off going for the 5070 Ti, especially if you can snag the cheapest option. Diminishing returns in GPU performance are real, so I'd prioritize value.

Yeah, the Gigabyte is a good pick. The Asus may offer a bit more reliability but for gaming at 1440p, the difference might be negligible.

Thanks for your input! So, you're thinking the Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti Gaming OC at $1400 is solid, right? I've also heard some recommendations for the Asus model for an extra $120 because of their tech. What do you think?
