What GPU Should I Consider for a Short-Term Upgrade?

I'm looking for a temporary GPU before I get my hands on the 5090. I was thinking about the 1080 Ti, but I'm not sure if it's the best choice for around $100. Right now, I've got a workstation card and an RX 6400, so I need a card that I can use for just a couple of months, or even just a week or two.

I suggest saving your cash and using the iGPU from your CPU until you can grab the 5090. You can also look into services like NVIDIA Now until you have your own GPU.

I actually have enough cash to buy one, but the model I want is out of stock everywhere!

If you're going temporary, it might be better to just grab a CPU with integrated graphics. It'll be handy for other stuff too! What CPU are you planning to get? If you're strictly looking for a GPU, consider something like the GTX 1070 or RX 580, which you can often find for around $50.

Currently, I have a 19 9980XE but I'm planning to upgrade to the Ryzen 9950X3D.
