I built my first PC a few years ago and it's served me well. My setup includes an EVGA 3070ti 8GB GPU, an i9-850k CPU at 3.60GHz, 32GB of RAM, and I'm using a Z590-A PRO motherboard along with an EVGA 850 BQ power supply. I primarily game, focusing on competitive play and trying to squeeze out the best frames possible. I've spent a lot of time playing games like MW2019 and now I'm into BF6. I do a bit of video editing on the side and use a BenQ Zowie XL2540K monitor at 1080p with a refresh rate of 240Hz. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU with a budget around $800. I've heard about the 5070/5070ti options, but someone suggested checking out the 9070XT instead. I'm not too familiar with different GPU brands and models, so I'd appreciate any recommendations or advice on what to look for!

Going with AMD is definitely okay for gaming. However, keep in mind that your current CPU might bottleneck performance at 1080p, especially with a new GPU. You might need to look at upgrading your CPU as well to avoid that issue.
The 9070XT is a solid choice. It has great performance for gaming nowadays, so you might want to consider it.
Any specific brands you recommend that work best with the 9070XT, like Asus or Gigabyte?

If I'm sticking to 1080p, does it really matter that much? I thought the monitor resolution would limit the CPU's impact on frames.
