What GPU Should I Get After Upgrading to a 5700X3D for 4K Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to upgrade my gaming rig. Right now, I have a Ryzen 5 5600X, 16GB of 3000MHz RAM, and an RTX 3080 10GB. I love using DLSS and often play on a 4K TV. My budget is a bit tight, so I'm planning to first upgrade to a 5700X3D CPU. After that, I intend to switch to 32GB of 3600MHz RAM, and finally, I'm looking to get a new GPU that fits well with my setup. Does this plan sound good to you? Which GPU would be the best match for this configuration?

If you're eyeing GPUs, the 9070 XT or 5070 Ti would pair nicely with the 5700X3D at 4K. Running my 5800X3D with a 9070 XT at 1440p, I barely see any CPU bottleneck, except with some UE5 titles.

Honestly, I think your plan is solid. If you upgrade to the 5700X3D, it should work really well with something better than the 3080. At 4K, the CPU won't be a huge bottleneck, so you’ll be good to go!

I can definitely say that switching from a 3800X to a 5700X3D was a game changer for me! I'm using a 3080 Ti at 1440p right now, but I’m planning to test 4K soon. If the 5700X3D is reasonably priced, grab it and sell the old CPU; you'll likely be happy with the boost! I got mine for 200 and sold my old one for 90.

That’s awesome! I currently have the 5600X and a 3080 too. Definitely looking to upgrade!

Before you jump into the upgrade, have you checked the price of the 5700X3D in your area? If you're near a Micro Center in the US, it might be smarter to save up for a 7600X or 9600X upgrade instead since you'll end up spending a lot on the new CPU, motherboard, and new RAM for AM5. Plus, don't forget about needing a new CPU cooler! But on 4K, the performance difference might not be huge if you’re mainly gaming.

I’m in Brazil, and parts are super expensive here!

Yeah, investing in a 5700X3D alone could be cheaper than going for a complete overhaul!
