Hey everyone! I originally built my setup to enjoy AAA games at HIGH or ULTRA settings in 1080p, but now I'm thinking about upgrading to 1440p gaming. I'm looking for your recommendations on which GPU would be the best fit for my Intel i5-10400. Should I consider upgrading my CPU too? Here are the specs of my current setup: Intel Core i5-10400, RX 6600 XT, 16GB Crucial Ballistix 2666, and MSI MAG B460M BAZOOKA.

I’ve had the i5-10400, and honestly, it shows its age now. If you're looking into a GPU upgrade, keep an eye on new cards like the RX 9060 XT. However, if you can build a completely new system, I'd go for it. I’m planning to switch to a 9700X myself soon!

Upgrading your GPU is definitely on the table, but I'd suggest considering a CPU upgrade first if you're aiming for the best performance at 1440p. The i5-10400 can limit your frame rates, especially with newer titles at higher settings.

The RX 6600 XT can manage some older games at 1440p, but it may struggle with newer titles. If you're looking for better performance, you might want to check out the RX 7800 XT or RTX 4070. Just keep in mind you may eventually need to upgrade your CPU too.
