What GPU Should I Upgrade To for 4K Gaming?

I recently upgraded to a 4K monitor with 160Hz and HDR, but I'm currently using an old 1080 Ti, which is not cutting it. AI suggests my GPU is outdated, and I can only manage 4K at 120Hz in SDR. When I turn on HDR, it drops to 60Hz. I'm looking for the most budget-friendly upgrade since I mainly play light games like League of Legends and use my PC for productivity. Any recommendations?

What monitor do you have? If it's not truly HDR, you might want to just stick to SDR to get the best experience with your 1080 Ti. Honestly, for light games like League of Legends, your current GPU might still be overkill for 4K at 120Hz!

Your 1080 Ti can't handle high refresh rates at 4K because it lacks display compression technology. If you're looking for cheap options, the 6700 XT or the 3060 Ti are solid choices. But if you want more longevity with your 5800X3D, consider upgrading to something like the 7800 XT or 4070.
