Hey everyone! I'm planning to upgrade the GPU in my gaming PC and could really use your advice. Here are my current specs: I've got an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X processor, an Nvidia GTX 1660 Windforce with 6GB, and an ASUS PRIME X470-PRO motherboard. Right now, I'm gaming at 1080p, but I'm looking to improve my performance and aim for 1440p in the near future. I've narrowed down my options to the RX 7800 XT, RX 7600 XT, and the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB. If you have any other suggestions that offer a better price-to-performance ratio and would fit well with my setup, I'm all ears! Which GPU do you think would be the best choice for my gaming needs? Thanks for your help!

I'd go with the RX 7800 XT. You can expect about 144 fps at ultra settings in 1080p, which is fantastic for gaming. The RX 7600 XT will deliver around 60 fps, which is decent but may not feel as smooth for more demanding games. As for the RTX 5060 Ti, I can't say for sure how it performs, but it may not be the best choice. Overall, RX 7800 XT seems like the way to go!
Honestly, I’d scrap the 5060 Ti. It’s not worth the investment. I'd suggest aiming for a card with at least 12GB of VRAM, preferably 16GB, especially if you plan to turn up the settings. That VRAM will make a noticeable difference in performance!
From my experience, I hit performance issues at 1440p with my Ryzen 5 5600X paired with a 6800XT when recording certain games, so there could be potential bottlenecking at 1080p gaming. I'd recommend the RX 7600 XT if you’re not planning to upgrade your CPU right away. But if a CPU upgrade is on your mind, considering something like the 5700X3D or 5800X could really help you out as well.
True! CPU upgrades can help alleviate bottleneck issues, especially if you’re moving to higher resolutions. At 1440p, the GPU does the heavy lifting, so that could be a solution!
