I'm looking for some guidance on upgrading my GPU from the GTX 1080. I'm not super experienced with PC building, so I could really use some recommendations. I'm aiming for something in the ~$500 range, but I can stretch my budget a bit if the upgrade is worth it!

You might want to check out the 5070 Ti or the AMD 9060 XT. The 9070 (non-XT) is also worth considering if you can afford it. Just keep in mind that your PSU and overall system performance may impact how well your upgrade works.

Before diving into GPU recommendations, can you share what CPU you're using? It’s crucial to make sure the GPU pairs well with it. Also, if you could provide details on your power supply and other system specs, that would help a lot! What kind of resolution are you aiming for and what games are you planning to play?

Good point! Knowing the full specs makes it easier to suggest a fitting GPU.

Definitely need to know your CPU and other specs for a balanced setup.

If you're looking for a solid upgrade, I’d suggest the AMD Radeon 16GB 9060 XT. It’s a significant enhancement over the 1080. If you can push your budget a bit more, the 9070 would offer even better performance!
