Hey everyone! I wrapped up my first PC build not too long ago, and I'm already considering an upgrade for my GPU. I initially bought a used system but later received some free parts at work, which led to a complete rebuild. Now I'm confused about which GPU to choose for my next upgrade. The GPU market seems really volatile, and I want to stay within a budget of $300 to $400 after I sell my RTX 3070. Here are the specs of my system:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 3.7 GHz 12-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright AQUA ELITE ARGB V4 66.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
- **Motherboard**: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PRO WIFI II ATX AM4
- **Memory**: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16
- **Storage**: Crucial P3 Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME SSD
- **Video Card**: MSI GeForce RTX 3070 VENTUS 3X OC 8 GB
- **Power Supply**: GAMDIAS KRATOS P1 G 650 W 80+ Gold Certified
Any suggestions on what GPU I should aim for?

If you're looking to upgrade, your options would be the RX 5070 or RX 9070. Those are good choices based on your budget!
If you can stretch your budget a bit, selling your 3070 for around $200 should help you get the 9070 XT. Just keep in mind that you might need a beefier power supply for it. The 9060 XT 16GB is also a respectable step up from the 3070!
What kind of PSU wattage do you think would be ideal for the 9070 XT?
Assuming you sell your 3070 for about $200, you'd have a good shot at getting the RX 9070 XT for around $600. It’s about 80% faster than your old card, which is impressive!
That’s about what I was thinking too. Newegg lists the 3070 at around $210, so I might get a better deal if I sell it locally.

Yeah, I’ve been seeing those options too. I just have this weird bias against AMD for some reason.
