What Graphics Card Should I Get for Gaming After My Old One Broke?

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a pickle. My graphics card just gave out on me out of nowhere, and after spending ages on customer support, it seems like it's really broken. I can still use my computer for YouTube and Netflix, but gaming is a no-go now.

My old graphics card was the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which I got with my pre-built rig back in January 2022. I'm thinking about getting another one, but I wonder if there are better options available now for a similar price. I focus mostly on games like World of Warcraft and Paradox titles like Victoria 3.

I'm planning to take my PC to the local repair shop on Tuesday to confirm the issue, but I wanted to get your advice on what graphics card I should consider for gaming, especially with a rough budget of around $300-400. Any recommendations?

Just a heads up – keep in mind that the graphics card market can be a bit wild. Some top-tier cards can be way out of your price range! Just try to look for ones that are well-reviewed for gaming in your price bracket. Also, don't forget to check if your current PSU (power supply) can handle what you choose!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check the PSU to make sure it will work with the new card.

First off, it’s key to know your budget for a new graphics card! Since you're looking at around $300-400, that's a decent range. While the RTX 3060 was solid, there have definitely been some great upgrades since then. You might want to check out the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or even the NVIDIA RTX 3050 if you're leaning towards a greener option. They could give you comparable or even better performance.

Yeah, I would agree! Just make sure to look into new models as well, as prices can vary. Sometimes you can find good deals on slightly older cards that still perform great for gaming.
