I'm getting a PC from work that can't run Windows 11, and I'm looking to add a graphics card for gaming. My budget is no more than £275 ($300). Here are my specs: CPU: i7-5960X at 3GHz with 8 cores, RAM: 64GB at 2400 MHz Hyper, Mobo: Asus X99-S, and PSU: Corsair 850 W. Any recommendations?

Just a heads up, that CPU was released back in 2014, so it might struggle with newer games. Forget the newer RTX 3000 or AMD 9000 series cards; it might be more beneficial to grab something like an AMD RX 6650 or even a used RX 480—they're much cheaper and should handle older games just fine. If you prefer Nvidia, a GTX 1060 could also work.

You might want to check out a used 3070. That should give you a solid performance boost for gaming without breaking the bank.

If you can manage to push your budget a little, the RX 9060 XT with 16GB is a top pick right now. Cheaper options often underperform in comparison. I've got the same CPU paired with a 3060, and it usually limits my performance, so consider getting a stronger card. Plus, the i7-5960X is known for overclocking well if you're into that sort of thing!

The 3060 could be a good fit within your price range! It's a solid performer for most games.

Consider the RX 9060 XT with 8GB or any used RX 6750 XT/6800 XT if you can find a good deal. They're well worth it!

If you find a good deal, the Radeon RX 6700 XT with 12GB could be a steal. Also, check out the RTX 4060 or AMD Radeon RX 7600 / RX 7600 XT with 8-16GB.
