What graphics card should I upgrade to for my first PC?

Hey everyone! I'm new to the PC building scene and this is my first pre-built computer from Best Buy. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about pre-builts, but I don't have any firsthand experience. Right now, it handles smaller, graphics-intensive games decently, but struggles with larger titles. I'm primarily looking for recommendations on a better graphics card within my budget. Here are my current specs:

- Windows 11 Home
- AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (up to 4.2 GHz)
- 16GB DDR4 Memory
- AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT (4GB)
- 1TB PCI-E Gen4 NVME SSD

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Before buying, it’s good to know how much you’re looking to spend and what resolution your monitor is. GPUs today are pretty flexible, and if you want to game at 1440p, cards like the RTX 5060 Ti or 9060 XT might fit without other upgrades. Just make sure to stick to your budget.

I’d recommend you cap your price at around $450 for the graphics card. That way, you can get a decent one that will significantly enhance your gaming experience without breaking the bank!

Based on your setup, I've seen that the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT could be a solid choice for an upgrade! It should give you a noticeable boost in performance. However, keep in mind that since it's a bit older, it might be tricky to find at retail stores. Also, check your power supply requirements since it may need more power than your current setup.

Yeah, the 6700 XT is a significant upgrade! Just ensure your power supply can handle it, or you might need to replace that as well.
