I started a Windows update on my PC yesterday, but then we had a power outage, and now I can't turn my computer back on until power returns. I read that Windows may automatically rollback an update after a power loss, but I'm not sure. Is there a chance my Windows installation could be corrupted? I assume my hardware is probably okay. Thanks for any insights!

Modern versions of Windows are pretty adept at handling unexpected power failures, even during updates. When you get power back, it might take a couple of restarts, but chances are everything will be okay.
It all depends on what stage the update was in when the power went out. If it was already done with the installation and just verifying, you should be good to go. If not, it might need some repairs.
Windows has seriously improved its handling of these situations, but there's always a risk. Fingers crossed it works out!
If it went dark after the update was installed, you’re likely in the clear. But if it was stuck in the 'getting Windows ready' phase, that’s more concerning. You could try uninstalling the update once you get it back up.
It will probably just roll back the update, but I'd recommend reinstalling it afterward to ensure everything is fine. If things go south, you may need to run some repair tools.
