I'm moving into my own apartment and need some advice on how much internet speed I should get. As a heavy gamer, I plan to connect my PS5 and PC via Ethernet, although I might set up streaming services later on. I'd love to hear others' experiences and recommendations on what would work best for my situation!

You're looking to understand the right speed and type of internet for your needs. Fiber is the best option for gaming and low latency if it's available in your area. A minimum of 300Mbps is good for faster downloads and seamless gameplay. If fiber’s not an option, cable is the next best choice.

If you're gaming on Ethernet, that's a great start! For most gamers, around 150Mbps download and 30Mbps upload is plenty. However, if you can get a solid deal, going with at least 30Mbps download and 10Mbps upload is a safe minimum to consider. That way, you ensure smooth performance while gaming and potential streaming later on.

When considering internet speed, remember that latency is crucial for gaming! Wired connections typically have lower latency than WiFi. If you're gaming with a wired setup, you should be in good shape, just focus on quality of service from your ISP.
