What is a “company email” and how can I use my own domain for it?

I'm looking to get a demo for some industrial software, but I need to register with a "company email". What does that really mean? How do they determine if it's a company email? I understand they probably don't want common providers like Outlook, Gmail, or iCloud. Since I have my own domain, if I set up an email server or use a service like ProtonMail, would that be accepted?

They're likely trying to confirm that you're a legitimate buyer. If you send from a generic email address, they may not take your request seriously. Using your own domain is the best bet, but just ensure it's recognized as a professional email.

A "company email" typically refers to an email address that ends with a specific company's domain, not something generic like Gmail or Outlook. They're likely looking for a valid company name that matches a real website to ensure you're a serious potential customer.

Yeah, they want to keep things professional and filter out casual inquiries. If your goal is to demo the software for your business, they need to see that you're contacting them from a legitimate business email, usually something that includes your own domain.

Basically, they want emails that reflect a real business. Even if you set up your domain with ProtonMail, it should ideally follow the format of your company (like [email protected]). This way, it gives them confidence that you're serious about your inquiry.
