What JavaScript Frameworks Should I Consider for a Small School Website?

I've been using Django for a while, but now I need to create a website for a school project. I've been looking into JavaScript frameworks and I'm feeling a bit lost. I've heard that Next.js had some negative feedback from developers about six months ago, so I'm wondering what would be a good alternative framework similar to Next.js. Ideally, I need something that can handle both front-end and back-end since this project will be relatively small, with a small database and a need for reactivity.

Next.js is actually a solid choice! Their documentation is great, and the tooling for deployment is pretty smooth. If that doesn’t work, you can always combine a React front-end with an Express back-end for more flexibility.

Good to know! I think the bad reviews about Next.js were mostly about its performance for larger projects, but mine should be manageable.

If you're open to alternatives, I really prefer Nuxt, which is the Vue counterpart to Next.js. But hey, Next.js is definitely still a go-to for modern web development.

Why not stick with Django? If you're set on using JavaScript, you might consider Node.js with Express and Knex. But honestly, you might miss the conveniences Django offers!

The thing is, my coworker doesn't know Python, so I need to stick with JavaScript. Thanks for the suggestion, though!
