Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching from Windows to Linux, especially since Windows 10 will stop getting updates soon. I feel pretty tech-savvy and have tried Linux Mint, Endeavour, and openSUSE, but I can't quite figure out which distro would be best for my needs. I'm looking for a version that's stable enough for daily use but also allows me to learn more about Linux. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Migrating from Windows to Linux involves more than just picking a distro. Linux is fundamentally different; many applications you use might not have direct counterparts. So, before you choose a distro, consider what applications you need and check their compatibility. Mint is a solid option for newcomers, but it’s important to research your hardware compatibility too. Look into how your laptop handles Linux; I suggest trying your chosen distro in Live mode first to see how it runs. Plan carefully and take your time with the transition!
Thanks for the heads-up! I wasn’t aware hardware compatibility could be tricky on Linux. I should be okay since I'm using it on my laptop.

I don't use Mint, but I still think it’s a great choice for beginners.
