What Linux Distro Should I Switch to for My ThinkPad?

I recently switched to Ubuntu 24.04 from Windows, but I'm running into a common bug with my ThinkPad model. I've tried various fixes to no avail. I'm considering switching distros and I'm open to suggestions. Ideally, I'd like something beginner-friendly since I'm still new to Linux. I've heard that Arch is user-friendly, but I'm not sure if that's true for someone at my level. Any recommendations?

I’m currently using Linux Mint Cinnamon on my ThinkPad, and it works perfectly for me! I used to mess around with Arch, but honestly, it gets a bit too complicated for daily use. Mint is just what I need—simple and effective!

Honestly, I'd love to know what bugs you’re dealing with too! Maybe sharing that info could help you find the right solution. In the meantime, if you're looking for a distro switch, give Mint a try; it’s pretty hassle-free for new users!

I noticed you didn't mention the specific bug or your ThinkPad model, which makes it tricky to offer help. For beginners, I recommend sticking with any Debian or Ubuntu-based distros. Arch has awesome documentation, but it might be a bit overwhelming if you're new and aren't comfortable with the terminal yet.

It'd really help if you could specify which bug you’re encountering and which ThinkPad model you have. This info can guide us in helping you out. If you're looking for a more user-friendly distro, Linux Mint 22.2 Cinnamon edition could be a great choice for you!
