Hey everyone! I'm a 17-year-old guy aiming to be a software engineer because I really enjoy programming and the world of computer science. I've heard that a solid understanding of certain math concepts is key in this field. Which areas of math should I focus on to help me reach my goal? Also, are there any math books you recommend that would be beneficial for someone pursuing a career in computer science? Thanks so much for your time, and I hope you all have a great day!

Don't stress too much about math right now. You'll pick up what you need as you go along. Just make sure you have a good grasp of differential calculus, vectors, and some basic statistics. I found it easier to learn math when I applied it to programming tasks; it made everything click for me. Best of luck on your journey in computer science!
Discrete Math is super important for computer science. Linear Algebra can also be valuable, especially if you're diving into AI or graphics programming. Check out books like "Discrete Mathematics and Its Applications" by Rosen to get started!
Thanks for the tip! Do you have any specific resources that explain these math topics well?
I appreciate the encouragement! Thanks for the advice.
