I'm planning to pair my Gigabyte RX 9060 XT 16GB with a 9600X CPU, which I know is solid for 1080p gaming and can hold its own at 1440p. What brand and model of monitor would work best for both 1080p and 1440p resolutions?

1080p can look rough on a 1440p monitor due to scaling issues, so I recommend going for a native 1440p panel. If budget's tight, VA panels are a decent alternative. Just avoid the cheapest unknown brands and check for deals nearby.
Check for gaming monitors that are on sale, and definitely take a look at reviews on rtings.com. They're pretty thorough with their testing!
Having built PCs and gamed since '84, I can say I've never had a monitor fail me. Just steer clear of the really cheap options. Stick with top brands like SAMSUNG or MSI. Do some research on YouTube, especially channels like Hardware-Unboxed—they give reliable hardware reviews.
I have the same GPU and CPU combo, and I play at 1440p pretty comfortably! I opted for a 27-inch Asus at 210Hz. Just lower some settings in demanding games, and you’ll be good to go!
Brand isn’t a huge deal, just steer clear of Sceptre or RCA. Look for IPS panels with 180Hz refresh rate or higher for either 1080p or 1440p. They'll give you solid performance!

Yeah, I'm also on the hunt for a new monitor and rtings is my go-to for comparisons.
