Hey everyone! I'm making the jump from AM4 to AM5 and upgrading my whole setup. I've settled on getting a 9800X3D CPU and I want to pair it with 32GB of RAM. I'm curious about recommendations for the RAM; what options should I consider?
Additionally, I'm torn between a few motherboards: the MSI X870E MPG Carbon WiFi, ASUS X870E-E ROG Strix Gaming, and the Gigabyte X870 AORUS Master. It's a gift, so I'm not too worried about the price—just want the best choice overall. What are the key pros and cons of each? By the way, I'll be using this for rendering, gaming, streaming, and programming. My current board is an ASUS X570 ROG CROSSHAIR VIII HERO.

When it comes to motherboards, it’s worth considering what features you actually need. The higher-end options like the MSI and ASUS boards offer plenty of extras, but if you're not using all those features, you might save money with a less expensive board. They won't necessarily be built better or faster—many folks buy high-end boards without needing all the bells and whistles.
For the RAM, you can’t go wrong with any DDR5-6000 CL30 kit; they perform similarly. But if you can find one with EXPO profiles, that would be ideal for your AMD setup.
Got it! Thanks for the tip about EXPO profiles!

That makes sense! I’ll think about my actual needs.
