I'm putting together a gaming rig with an NVIDIA 3080 Ti, an RX 9700x, and 32GB of RAM. I'm trying to figure out what motherboard would be good for this setup and how crucial the motherboard really is. I came across the MSI B850M GAMING PLUS WIFI 6E AM5 DDR5. Is that a solid choice? Also, how much should I expect to spend on a decent motherboard?

The motherboard is pretty important for your build. You don’t necessarily need to drop a fortune on a high-end one, but a budget option won’t cut it either. Aim for something in the $200-$300 range; that's what worked fine for my setup with a 3080 Ti.

What do you define as a 'decent' motherboard?
