I'm looking for a motherboard that works well with the Ryzen 5 9600X. I'm getting compatibility warnings on PCPartPicker and I'm wondering if I need to go for a newer B650 model. I'd like to stay in the $150-$200 price range. Here are the links to my processor and a couple of motherboards I'm considering: [Ryzen 5 9600X](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/4r4Zxr/amd-ryzen-5-9600x-39-ghz-6-core-processor-100-100001405wof) and [Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX V2](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/cPNYcf/gigabyte-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2-atx-am5-motherboard-b650-gaming-x-ax-v2). You can also check out my cart for more context on the compatibility issues: [Cart Link](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/MbCpnp).

You might want to check out a B850 motherboard. Just keep in mind that sometimes you have to update the BIOS, and you’d need a compatible CPU for that. If you’re buying used, watch out for that!

If you can find it, the Gigabyte B850 GAMING WIFI6 is a solid option. Just make sure it’s the right model!

I saw one with the Wifi6E model. Is that the same as what you're suggesting?

Most modern motherboards just plug and play with Ryzen processors like the 9600X, so you can usually ignore those compatibility warnings. This used to be a bigger issue when the 9000 series launched, but now most B650 and X670 boards should already have the latest BIOS to support them, so you should be good to go!

Picking a B850 board will definitely help eliminate those warning messages on PCPartPicker!
