I just got a 9950X3D CPU and was initially considering the ASRock X870e Nova or Taichi. However, due to some concerns about the reliability of ASRock motherboards with these CPUs, I'm exploring other brands. It's been a while since I built my last PC, which was based on a 2990WX with an Asus Zenith Extreme. Unfortunately, Asus seems out of my budget this time. I'm looking for motherboard recommendations in the $400-$450 range. Any suggestions?

You really don't need to break the bank on a motherboard. One option to check out is the B850 AI TOP. It's not an X870 board, but it has a better feature set than many other choices.
Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely look into it.
Aside from the issues with ASRock, most boards are pretty similar. Focus on the ports and features you need. I recommend using filters on Newegg to help narrow down your choices. Also, don't shy away from older chipsets like X670E; I actually went with the MSI MPG X670E for my 7950X3D and have been happy with it.
I was considering some X670 options too, but I'm lost on what's best. The X870E just guarantees USB 4, right?
I own the B850 AI TOP, and I can confirm it’s a solid choice!
