I'm looking for a reliable off-the-shelf NAS solution to automatically back up our Dropbox business account. Our shared folders are all stored in Dropbox, and I want to set up a backup routine every few days to protect against potential ransomware attacks. Ideally, I want something that works out of the box without the need for any custom scripts or extensive configuration, as I've had rough experiences with FreeNAS in the past. Any suggestions?

Another option is TrueNAS. It also supports backing up cloud services like Dropbox, and it's pretty straightforward to use.
I'd recommend Synology. They have a feature called Cloud Sync that lets you download only remote changes, plus their Snapshot Replication allows you to take regular snapshots. This way, you'll have multiple restore points if anything goes wrong. Check out their support page for more info on setting it up!
Just keep in mind that if you go with Synology, you might need to use their drives for the best performance.
Yeah, I've used Synology, and it works great for this kind of backup!
