I've got an old computer with 3GB of RAM and an AMD Vision E1 CPU. I recently bought a 120GB SSD to improve its performance, but I'm unsure which operating system to install given the limitations of the E1 processor. Ideally, I'd like to go with a Windows OS for basic tasks like documents and homework, but I'm open to suggestions.

If your old PC has only 3GB of RAM and the E1 processor, you'll really be pushing it with Windows. I’d recommend looking at something lightweight like Windows XP, but honestly, Linux could be your best bet for smooth performance. It can actually make your system feel faster and more responsive for everyday tasks compared to Windows.
No judgment here! Are you using this setup out of necessity or just for fun? If it's a must, hit me up; I have some spare parts that could give you a decent upgrade, even though they're from the late 2010s. I know how tough it can be to keep up with tech costs.
It's a necessity! Thanks for the offer, but I live outside North America.
