What Parts Should I Get for a Gaming PC on a $300 Budget?

I'm not very experienced with building PCs and I'm trying to figure out the best parts to get. I found a gaming setup I like that's around $300, but I'm open to spending a bit more if necessary to improve performance. Specifically, I'm unsure about whether I need a fan or a CPU cooler with my setup. Here are the parts I'm considering:

- Processor: AMD RYZEN 5 5500GT MPK (AM4)
- Motherboard: MSI A520M-A PRO DDR4 MATX AM4
- Memory: LEXAR LD4AU008G NON-RGB BLACK WITHOUT H/S 8GBX1=8GB 2666MHZ DDR4
- SSD: LEXAR NS10 LITE 120GB 2.5 SATA
- PSU: DEEPCOOL PF500X 500W 80+ BRONZE CYBENETICS ATX NON MODULAR

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Honestly, that setup might not be the best for gaming. With your budget, looking for a used computer could get you a much better deal. The integrated GPU on that processor isn't great, and 8GB RAM is pretty limiting, especially if you're using Windows 11. Plus, that 120GB SSD is just barely enough for the OS. You might want to keep an eye out for better deals if you're willing to spend a bit more!

Absolutely! A used or refurbished PC could be the way to go. Just make sure to check everything works before buying.

I have to agree with this. That price point is tough for a good gaming experience. Try searching your local listings for used parts or build a slightly older refurbished system that can handle games better. Good luck!
