What PC components should I prioritize buying first?

I'm excited about building my first PC, but I'm a bit unsure about the order in which I should buy the components, especially since RAM and SSD prices are quite high right now. My components list includes a Ryzen 9 7900x CPU, an RTX 5060 Ti GPU with 16GB, 32GB DDR5 RAM (2x16GB), and a Samsung 990 Pro SSD with 2TB. I appreciate any tips you have, and sorry if my phrasing isn't perfect—English isn't my first language!

It's actually best to buy everything at once. If you purchase something in advance and it turns out to be defective later, you might miss the return window. This can be a real hassle, so make sure everything's working as soon as you get it!

Have you had parts go faulty on you before? Just wondering how common that actually is.

You need to ensure you can test your build. At the very least, get a power supply, CPU, motherboard, RAM, and some storage. If you're buying a GPU later, make sure you have integrated graphics or another card to test things out. It’s also important to have a monitor ready to troubleshoot if needed!

If that's your shopping list, I'd suggest buying the RAM first while prices are still somewhat reasonable, then move on to the GPU, CPU, and finally the SSD. You’re still in a good position to avoid paying inflated prices for RAM later on, so act quickly!

Honestly, the best strategy is to buy all your parts at the same time. By the time you're ready for the last component, better options or price drops may have come along. Planning could save you some cash and hassle!
