I'm new to building PCs and currently have an older setup that I'm considering upgrading. Here are my specs: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (3.40 GHz, six-core), 16 GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (8 GB). Can anyone suggest which components I should upgrade and recommend some budget-friendly but still powerful options?

Check out that Microcenter deal for the 7600X and motherboard combo for around $220! It's a steal and would give you a great performance boost. Or you could stick to something like the 5600X if you want to save a bit more.

That's a solid deal! I’ll look into that ASAP.

If you're looking to upgrade, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X would be a great choice for a CPU. It offers excellent price-to-performance compared to your current setup. Make sure to check if your motherboard can handle it! Also, consider the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT for a GPU, especially if you're on a budget. You can often find good deals at stores like Microcenter.

Got it! So is the 5600X a significant upgrade from the 2600?

Definitely share the full specs of your system, especially your motherboard and power supply. This info is crucial to ensure compatibility with new components. Also, prices are fluctuating right now, so picking the right time could save you some cash.
