What PC parts should I worry about skyrocketing in price next?

With the recent surge in RAM prices, I'm curious about which PC components are likely to see a price increase next. We've heard that SSDs and GPUs are expected to rise as well, but what about CPUs and AM5 motherboards? AMD claimed they aren't raising prices right now, but that makes me wonder if it's just a temporary measure. I'm currently using a Ryzen 5800X3D on AM4 and I've panic-bought some DDR5 RAM and a new GPU to future-proof myself. However, I'm anxious that the parts I still need might also become much more expensive soon. Should I grab them now or is it safe to wait a little?

Based on my observations, RAM prices are definitely seeing an increase, and GPUs might also go up significantly. SSDs could rise a bit as well, but motherboards and CPUs may drop slightly. Just my take, though!

I think solid-state drives (SSDs) are likely to get pricier. They've already announced upcoming price hikes, especially for those next-gen models everyone wants.

Yeah, SSD prices are definitely on the rise. It seems like a constant cycle!

Don't forget about the hardware needs for AI farms. Those will also contribute to rising demands and prices for parts like GPUs and SSDs.

True, and it's causing electricity rates to shoot up in places with data centers. It's crazy how interconnected all this is!

Honestly, I doubt CPUs will increase in price. In fact, they might even drop since fewer people are getting into DDR5 right now. Also, the demand for DDR5 motherboards isn't as high, which might lead to a decline in prices for those too.

That makes sense! I hadn't considered how the demand would affect pricing.

I actually have a hunch that prices for CPUs and motherboards will stabilize or go down slightly. If RAM prices stay high, it could make less sense for low to mid-tier builds to splurge on high-end CPUs and motherboards.
