I'm trying to decide on a PC build for gaming. As a casual gamer, I enjoy multiplayer games like Call of Duty and FIFA, but I'm also interested in diving into more story-driven games. I'm looking for a rig that can handle these titles smoothly, especially with the goal of playing them at 240 fps in 1080p. I've come across a build with the following specs: Ryzen 9 9950X3D, RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, 32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD with a Liquid Cooler. Should I go for this setup?

You really don’t need that Ryzen 9 9950X3D. A Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a much cheaper option, plus it still performs great for gaming.
I'd suggest going with the 7800X3D or the 9800X3D. For the GPU, look at the 9070XT or the 5070Ti. If they’re similarly priced, go for the Ti version. Also, consider getting a 1440p OLED monitor for a better experience!
Consider getting a less expensive CPU and investing in a stronger GPU instead. It will give you better performance in games overall.
Any recommendations on what GPU to pick?

That was my first thought too!
