I've been struggling to remove a screw with various sizes of Phillips screwdrivers (like PH0, PH00, PH1, etc.), but nothing seems to work. I'm wondering what the correct screwdriver size is for this screw. Also, is this screw just a placeholder for an M.2 installation? Do I need to get a new screw to secure my SSD properly?

From what I see, it sounds like you’re dealing with a standoff rather than a typical screw. Those can be tricky! You might need to use a wrench or pliers to get it out, and just be careful not to damage anything around it.
Definitely avoid using pliers unless you're in a pinch! That can lead to unintended damage. Try looking for the specific size of the screw; it might not be a standard Phillips size. Best to check the manual if you have it!
Are you talking about an M.2 standoff? If so, you might need a T7 or T8 Torx screwdriver instead. Phillips screwdrivers can sometimes slip on standoffs, which could be why you're having such a tough time.

Ugh, I wish I had the manual! I’ll keep looking for the right tool before I go all DIY on it.
