I recently replaced my power supply unit (PSU) and CPU, but now my setup won't power on. Before I consider tearing everything apart to put my old PSU back in, what checklist can you suggest? Thanks!

First things first, are the PSUs modular? It can be a bit confusing if you switched from a non-modular to a modular PSU. Just make sure all the cables are connected properly. Here’s a quick checklist for you: 1. Check the switch on the back of the PSU; it should be in the 'on' position. 2. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged in. 3. Verify that the 24-pin and 8-pin connectors are firmly connected at both the PSU and motherboard ends. 4. Don’t forget the front panel connectors; that’s a common mistake that can cause a headache. 5. If you can, try using another CPU or PSU to see if either is the culprit.

I'm curious about the PSU you installed. Is it just as simple as plugging in the 24-pin connector and trying to power it up to quickly check? I’d like to skip all the hassle if possible.
