I recently bought a MacBook Air on the 5th of this month, and the charge went through immediately. However, on the 10th, I received an email notifying me of an updated shipping date, and at that time, I noticed that the payment was reversed and the money was back in my bank account. Fast forward to today—I received the MacBook about 7 hours ago, but the funds are still sitting in my account. Is this a normal situation? Should I contact Apple about it? This is my first big purchase, and I'm concerned they might come after me for it!

Honestly, don’t spend that money just yet. What likely happened is that they did a pre-authorization when you made the purchase. When they shipped out your MacBook, they would process the actual charge, and that’s why the pre-authorization drops off. You should see the full charge hit your account, probably by Monday after the weekend transactions clear.
Thanks for the heads up! I’ll make sure to be cautious.
