I'm feeling a bit lost with my career path. I've been working as a Java developer for over a year now, but I'm uncertain about what steps to take next. Can anyone offer some guidance?

Commercial experience usually means you've worked in a real job, but if you're only at one company for a year, it may be tough to find new opportunities. Switching jobs frequently can raise some red flags for potential employers who might think you're not sticking around long enough to contribute meaningfully.
Don't get discouraged! Building your presence on GitHub and networking can improve your chances of landing a better job. The job market is competitive, but it’s not impossible to find something great. Keep pushing forward!

I get that, but I'm really not the type to jump around. My situation is tough financially and I'm not involved in any interesting projects where I currently work.
