I accidentally dropped my iPhone 14 Pro in toilet water. Fortunately, it was only surrounded by some used wipes and not directly in the dirty water. I pulled it out immediately and it still worked after I dried it. I even rinsed it briefly under the tap and dried it again. I powered it off completely and cleaned most surfaces with a damp tissue and alcohol, being careful around the USB port and speakers. Then I removed the SIM card and let that slot air out for about 10-15 minutes. Now, after about 1.5 hours, I'm unsure about what to do next. Will my phone still work, and what should my next steps be?

As long as you let it dry properly, your phone should be fine. Give it a few hours and check it again. Keep an eye on it just in case!
You're probably in the clear since the iPhone 14 has an IP68 rating, meaning it can withstand being submerged in water to some extent. However, I wouldn’t recommend rinsing electronics under the tap because high pressure water can cause issues. Just give it time to dry off—keep it away from toilets in the future!
If you're worried about permanent damage, disassembling it and using a hot air gun or hair dryer on low could help. Just make sure to dry everything out thoroughly.
