I'm wrapping up a Microsoft C# course and, as someone in my fifties without a background in tech (I'm primarily a writer), I was unsure what to expect. Surprisingly, I've found it pretty manageable after the first few hurdles! I realize I'm still just scratching the surface since I'm only going through beginner material. Now, I'm curious about what to tackle next. I've heard about books like the C# Player's Guide and C# 12 In a Nutshell, among others.
Ultimately, my goal is to create my own video game in Godot, which I've already outlined in terms of design and procedural elements. I'm not at that stage yet and I'm not overly concerned, but I want to build on my C# skills and find out what my next steps should be.

Honestly, since you have a grasp on programming concepts now, just dive into your game project! It's a great way to enhance your skills. Have fun with it!

I appreciate that! I just wasn't sure if Microsoft's course gave me enough foundation to start building. After some initial struggles, things clicked for me, and now it feels like solving fun puzzles.
