I accidentally spilled a few drops of water on the power button of my laptop, and now it won't turn on. I tried using a hair dryer to dry it out for about 5-10 minutes, focusing on the power button and any openings I could find. I even laid it on its side to help it dry. Can anyone share some advice on what I should do next?

First things first, it's best to open up the laptop and check the printed circuit board (PCB) around the power button for any visible short circuits. If you're able to, consider replacing the PCB if there’s damage. Just a heads up, though — take caution because it can be tricky without the right tools! Letting it dry out is key too, so don't rush it.

I wish I had the tools! I’m in college and don’t have a screwdriver at hand. Should I keep using the hair dryer or just let it be and air dry? Any advice?
