What Should I Do If a Client Isn’t Paying for Their CSP Services?

Hey everyone, I'm a CSP provider on Azure and I've got a few clients who aren't able to pay their bills. I'm looking for suggestions on what options I have to restrict or disable their services without jumping straight to legal action. I'd love to hear your thoughts before I consult with a lawyer. Thanks!

If you're thinking about restrictions, definitely look into conditional access policies. You could block all access except from your own IP address to maintain control without shutting everything down.

It's a good idea to consult with your legal team first. Laws vary by country, and they might have more insight into your options. Also, keep in mind that suspending services means you have to keep track of the 90-day rule before removing them completely.

I would not recommend turning off everything without knowing how your clients have set things up. You could risk data loss if they're not prepared. Instead, think about limiting access to certain resources while you figure things out.

You might want to consider switching off their tenant access. Cutting off services like email and OneDrive usually prompts a payment pretty quickly. Just be sure to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.
