I'm in a bit of a panic because my phone is unlocked right now, but I've completely forgotten my passcode. I've had this passcode for months, and now that I need to enter it for an app, it keeps saying it's wrong. I tried to change the passcode in settings, but it says I've made too many attempts and now I have to wait five minutes. Is there any way to change or remove the passcode without knowing the current one? I'm really worried about getting locked out and I'm scared to turn my phone off because I might not be able to get back in! Just to add, I just tried again and it says I have to wait 15 minutes now. I really don't want to factory reset it, so is there any other way I can fix this?

Honestly, just factory reset it and get it over with. It's not ideal, but it's the only sure way to regain access if you can't remember the passcode.
Unfortunately, there's no way to retrieve or bypass your passcode without knowing it. Just remember that if you keep trying the wrong code, the waiting time will increase. Your best option at this point might be a factory reset, but that will lock your device to your Google account. If you don't have your email and password, you could end up with a bricked phone.
You generally can't bypass the passcode as a regular user. If you forget it, it may seem tough, but your safest route might be using options like recovery or professional help. Just know it involves some risks, especially if you're locked out of your account too.

Okay, got it. Thanks for clarifying!
