I'm having a bit of trouble installing my motherboard. I've reached the point where I need to mount it into the case, but only three of the holes are aligning. The previous motherboard was secured with four screws. Is this a major issue? Should I be worried about it or just keep trying?
For context, I'm using a Gigabyte A520M K V2 motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700 G processor, and I've got 2x16 GB DDR4 RAM sticks along with a GTX 1070 graphics card. I got my case from a friend but don't know the specifics about it.
Update: I think the issue might be due to the standoffs' positioning. It seems like mine are black instead of gold, so now I just need some guidance on moving them around.

Knowing the specific motherboard and case helps a ton. If it's not an ATX board, you might need to adjust the standoffs on the mounting plate to align with where the screws should go. It's crucial to check that to avoid damaging your motherboard!
I feel like there's a joke in here somewhere, but I can't quite put my finger on it!
Haha, they always manage to sneak in!
Typically, an ATX motherboard uses nine screws for mounting. Most cases have adjustable standoffs to fit different motherboard sizes. Make sure to check the case manual to see where the standoffs should be placed. Misplacing them can cause shorts, so it’s crucial to get it right!

Updated my post with the details!
You can usually reposition the standoffs. Check if there are extra ones either already placed in different positions on the back or in a bag with your screws and tools.
The case is kind of old, and I just have the ones that came with it from my friend.

The motherboard is a gigabyte A520M K V2. I think I need to learn what standoffs are since this is my first build.
