What Should I Do If My PC Doesn’t Have a TPM?

I recently bought a budget prebuilt PC and was excited to play Valorant, but I hit a snag because it doesn't have a TPM. I checked to see if it was just disabled, but the truth is my PC doesn't have one at all. Now I'm stuck and exploring my options. I could either get a TPM module or upgrade to a newer CPU that has TPM integrated, which I've heard is common in the latest generations. My main concerns are compatibility since my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H81M-S1 with an Intel Core i5-4590S CPU. Can I install a TPM module in my motherboard, or is it too old for that? Additionally, would newer CPUs work with my current motherboard? I'm not sure what the best move is, and I'd love some guidance because I might end up just replacing the motherboard altogether.

You might want to consider running Windows 11 LTSC or creating a Windows 11 live USB with the Rufus app, which could help you bypass the TPM requirement altogether.

Just a heads up, the Trusted Platform Module is linked to the motherboard, not the CPU. If your motherboard supports a TPM module, you can enable it by following specific steps. Check out this guide for instructions on how to enable it:

Just an FYI, though, your CPU is 4th gen Intel. They didn't integrate TPM until the 8th gen, so it won't be a simple toggle in your current motherboard.
