I discovered a large virus on my computer and attempted various methods to remove it, including using services.msc, PowerShell, and CMD. During this process, I found a TightVNC installer that I didn't install myself. After trying to remove it, my PC became unresponsive; the start menu wouldn't open, and nothing worked, so I had to force shutdown. I haven't turned it back on yet. What steps should I take next?

It sounds like you really ran into some trouble! I recommend wiping your drives and reinstalling Windows. This is often the best way to deal with severe malware issues. You can find detailed instructions on how to do that online; just search for "how to install Windows 11." Keep in mind that this will erase everything, so make sure to back up anything important if you can.

I have some very important programs on it. There are things I can't afford to lose.
