I just received a Linx Atom tablet that's linked to someone else's account, which is preventing me from accessing it. I've tried following the instructions to perform a factory reset by pressing the power and volume buttons together, but it only restarts the tablet without unlinking the original account. I got it second-hand from eBay, and while I've contacted the seller, I need to figure out if there's a way to factory reset it without logging in first. Any tips?

Don’t give up yet! Sometimes settings in the menu can help with a reset—you could check under Settings to see if there's a way to erase everything without needing to log in. If not, returning it could be the safest option.
Sounds like you've hit a dead end with the factory reset! Since it’s linked to that account, you might want to see if you can get in touch with the original owner and ask them to unlink it. If they respond, that could save you a lot of trouble! But honestly, if that doesn't work, you might have to consider returning the tablet.
You might be experiencing what’s called Factory Reset Protection (FRP). If that's the case, unfortunately, it’s designed to prevent unauthorized access. I’d suggest continuing to work with the seller to see if they can help. They may have additional info or credentials that can help you out.
