I'm currently using Windows 11, but I'm really fed up with the constant issues I've been facing. I'm thinking about making the switch to Linux Mint since I don't use many Windows-specific features anymore. My setup includes an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, Radeon RX 6650 GPU, and decent peripherals like a Logitech Mini Mechanical Keyboard and MX Master S3 Mouse. I primarily use JetBrains tools (like Rider and WebStorm), VS Code, Docker, Chrome for browsing, and I also rely on Google Meet and Zoom for calls. I also need my Bluetooth headphones to work and would like to keep using applications like WhatsApp (probably the web version), LibreOffice, and some other tools. I'm looking to know what kind of issues I might encounter, especially with my Logitech peripherals, video calling, and display configurations. Additionally, are there any unexpected challenges that I might run into during this transition?

Definitely check out the migration page on the forum for some solid tips! Remember to avoid using root unless necessary and always verify the checksums for your ISO files after downloading. That said, most things should run smoothly right off the bat, just keep an eye on Dropbox as it might need a bit of tweaking.
Your JetBrains tools should work smoothly, just make sure to grab the JetBrains Toolbox App to manage your IDEs and updates properly. Flatpak versions can be a bit tricky, so it's best to add the official repository for VS Code instead of using the standalone version.
I'd suggest considering Ubuntu or its derivatives instead of Mint for better driver support. But if you stick with Mint, just be ready to fix any driver issues manually. Some users have reported that Mint can be a bit behind on certain drivers compared to Ubuntu.
Yeah, updated drivers sound great, but I’ve heard that Ubuntu forces Snap packages on you, which can be way slower. Have you thought about trying Pop!_OS? That might be a good option too!
I've switched to Linux Mint as a gamer, and everything has worked perfectly for me. My only hesitation was with Dropbox, but there are plenty of alternatives out there if needed.
For WhatsApp, look into Progressive Web Apps. I have them set up for WhatsApp, FB Messenger, and YouTube, which keeps my main browser a bit tidier.
Oh, I had no idea about the Toolbox App! Thanks for that tip! So, does it really not give you update notifications like on Windows?
