What should I learn next after picking up JavaScript and Python?

I've been diving into programming and so far I've learned JavaScript and Python. Right now, I'm on a path to learn Java, C++, and MERN. My plan is to build some projects to really solidify what I've learned, but I'm not sure what to do after that. Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should focus on next? I'd appreciate any advice! Cheers!

You might find [roadmap.sh](http://roadmap.sh) useful for career roadmaps—just take it with some caution. It's smart to follow a single path until you're really proficient. To dodge the complexities of the JavaScript ecosystem, consider learning another language and its framework, like Python with Django or PHP with Laravel. That's how I started in front-end development, but don’t forget about important styling systems as well!

Thanks for the advice! I've already learned Django, and while I want to become a full-stack developer, I'm still a little confused about my next steps.

Instead of juggling languages, try creating a learning path. If your background is Python and JavaScript, consider frameworks that work well with those like Flask and React.js. If your focus is elsewhere, let me know—I'd be happy to offer some free advice!

I learned JavaScript for the MERN stack, Python for its beginner-friendly nature, Java for DSA, and C++ since it's part of my coursework. Thanks for the tips!

A good approach might be checking out job descriptions to identify the key skills employers are looking for. This can help you identify what to focus on next in your learning journey!

Programming is a tool, so think about what you want to do with it. Check local job boards to see what technologies are in demand. If website development excites you, mastering a backend framework like Laravel could really boost your skills. Also, why not get a VPS and practice setting up a website through SSH? It's hands-on experience that'll help a lot!

I'm planning to build a career in full-stack development, and I've just added PHP to my learning path—thanks a lot!

I'm curious why you're trying to learn so many languages at once. It's generally better to focus on mastering one language for a specific field. If web development is your goal, JavaScript alone might be enough. Think about what you truly want to do, then pick a language and dig deep into it!

I’m pursuing full-stack development, and I'm learning multiple languages to stay adaptable, just in case I need to switch! It’s kind of unsettling, though, with AI around.

Haha, just kidding about learning another language! But seriously, now's the time to build something cool that combines your skills. Dive into a project to apply what you've learned. It’ll give you real experience instead of just more theory!
