With Amazon Fraud Detector becoming unavailable to new customers starting November 7th, I'm curious about how to continue building fraud detection models. Will Amazon SageMaker be a suitable alternative for this task?

Keep in mind, if you're already a customer, you can still access it after November 7th. It'll still be available for existing users, so no need to panic just yet!
Absolutely, Amazon SageMaker is a great option! AWS recommends using it for similar capabilities to Amazon Fraud Detector. I found some really useful resources that might help:
- [AWS Fraud Detection on GitHub](https://github.com/aws-samples/amazon-sagemaker-fraud-detection)
- [Detecting Fraudulent Transactions with SageMaker](https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/machine-learning/detect-fraudulent-transactions-using-machine-learning-with-amazon-sagemaker/)
- [Migrating to SageMaker](https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/machine-learning/modernize-and-migrate-on-premises-fraud-detection-machine-learning-workflows-to-amazon-sagemaker/)
- [SageMaker Feature Store for Fraud Detection](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sagemaker/latest/dg/feature-store-fraud-detection-notebook.html)
- [Graph Neural Networks for Fraud Detection](https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/machine-learning/detect-financial-transaction-fraud-using-a-graph-neural-network-with-amazon-sagemaker/)
Fantastic! Many thanks for the resources!
Man, we just set this up a few months ago! This is a bummer.
You can expect to be grandfathered in for at least another year or two.
AWS giveth and AWS taketh away. It's tough building on top of these AWS services with the risk they could just be gone in a year.
It’s true, these top AWS services can get deprecated. Always a risk!

I think it’s a bit of a logistical issue for AWS. They might be shifting to manage infrastructure better for new clients.
